Up by 21 at half. Secondary will get a good workout this game. Guice will get another 150 and Brossette will get a chance to redeem himself. Leonard will not play past mid third.
My prediction: LSU 42-14

Can we stop this already? Yeah they have good stats but they've played nobody. At the end of the day it's still western Kentucky.

If beckwith and company stop Henry....and put the game on the arm of choker, I mean, coker.....I like our chances....especially with a healthy Mills back there.

Just making fun of these threads about fans looking ahead

Our secondary has problems but its all fixable. Expect a lot to be corrected during the bye week.

Neal is coming into his own and Doughty is a strictly pocket passer. Every guy we have faced so far has had some kind of mobility, but Doughty has negative 58 yards rushing on 14 carries (most of those "carries" are sacks. For a while now, I've thought 300 yards and 3 TDs, but it's more likely that he does go over 200 with 2 TDs, but he's sacked 6-8 times and throws 2-3 pics.

They scored 14 points on Vanderbilt. They beat La Tech by 3. LSU may come out with their B- game, and may not blow them out due to several factors...but stop with the W Kentucky is good crap. Look at their pathetic schedule...and again, they scored a whopping 14 points on Vanderbilt and beat them by 2 points. At best, they are a bottom feeder SEC team. Stop.

Well ask Ole Miss how they feel about Memphis and their weak schedule they played.
I think all anyone is saying is this isn't Eastern Michigan or UL Monroe. WKU can put up some points.
Should it be close in the end? No
But I don't think this is a game we can just sleep walk through and win by 30

We already know the coaches and players do not get hyped up for games they consider "cup cakes." Prepare for a frustrating game filled with excuses about the way we played. And also hold your breath as we have to run Fornette in the 4th quarter against WKU to ensure a victory.
I agree with this. How many times have we played a lesser team that on paper shouldn't even be able to compete and our fans are talking about LSU being able to name the score and win convincingly only to have said lowly team make us sweat all the way to the end all the while having to use our starters to make sure we win? I can just about guarantee that it will be very frustrating - just like MSU, Syracuse, EMU, and even UF, to a lesser degree but many folks thought we'd run over them too.

This is correct. This is a classic trap game, after we expended a lot of emotion against Florida and are looking ahead to Bama. WKU is a non-conference game no one cares about. And they're not a scrub team, they've got some talent. All of that is a dangerous recipe.

I expect a Syracuse-type game. We'll be very sluggish and the game will be ugly, but hopefully we flip the switch in the second half.

Wku is not that strong of a football team. They are about the same as la tech this year.

LSU’s next step on this hot-starting joyride is Western Kentucky, which ranks third nationally in passing offense (407.1 yards per game) and sixth in scoring (44 points per game). Its quarterback, Brandon Doughty, leads the nation in completion percentage (74.1 percent) and is second in passing yards (2,709)"

This isn't a gimme folks.

WKU is the worse team we could be playing on a trap weekend for us. Our secondary sucks balls, and WKU ranks in the top 5 in passing. T.D. will have a monumental melt down Saturday night.

Yes WKU may score some points, try looking at their defense. Good grief guys, the team that has a trap game is Alabama. UT has multiple good players and would wipe WKU up. No worries, they may keep it interesting for a half and do have a good QB. LSU will win with ease.

You know what kills passing teams like these?

Controlling the clock by running the football. Expect a heavy dose of the three headed monster this weekend. I expect WKU to score some points but TOP is going to be their demise.

To answer their offense defensively we run a nickel and keep everything underneath. An obvious easier said then done but we had two flat games already this year. To have a third would be a real uh oh moment.
