questions on rivalry games

Does the players see Alabama as much of a rival as the fans. How can u truly dislike a program when half of our roster considered bama as a favorite as a recruit. All I see with our recruits are Alabama/ LSU battles. As a fan of LSU, and I knew I wanted to go there I would never consider a rival team

The players know that they are the biggest roadblock to a SEC or national title. I believe they respect each other because they know they are the best two teams in the country for the last two years and moving forward. I believe it's a rivalry in the making.

The opposing players were helping each other off the ground in the first quarter this. Tremendous respect between the players and the coaches. The fans...well we have our own universe.

I separate the University and the Fan Base when it comes to Bama.
The players, students, and faculty of UAT are ok IMO.

Agreed. The media has done a good job hyping this up. It helps our recruiting as much as it does Bama.

I agree with you on this. Do you have the same feeling for the "sidewalk" LSU fans? That is, do you think that Bama fans (or "Gump Nation") are any worse than (insert nickname here for non-student/non-player/non-faculty) LSU fans or Auburn fans or Oregon fans?
