Just got a season pass for Lot 412 RV parking. Never had an RV pass before. Can someone please enlighten me on how this lot works? Is it first come first spot you want? Are spots assigned weekly? What do you do with the tow vehicle if you're coming in from out of town? Does everyone use gas generators with exhaust extensions?

I don't want to show up with the RV on the day of the Gramblimg game and have a bad experience. Can anyone of the gurus on this board please enlighten me on the etiquette of the RV lots?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not, admins please move to appropriate board.

I do not have any answers for you but this approach is so refreshing to me to know there are such considerate people out there.

I can't answer your questions but I suspect it you call or email the athletic dept they can at least give you some of the answers you seek.

I've only camped there one time a few years ago. I got there late on game day for the A&M Game 2019. I believe the following is still true:
1. I believe it is first come first serve.
2. No hook-ups available.
3. Yes, generators are allowed. However, Venturi generator extensions are required. It is just an add on to your generator exhaust that raises it above the height of your RV roof...about 10 feet off the ground.
4. It is a pretty easy walk to the stadium.
5. It was awesome meeting other fans and partaking some of their delicacies.
6. I believe you can pull through with your toad/dinghy vehicle and disconnect it, but I'm not positive on that one.
Have fun! Geaux Tigers!

PS We're hoping to attend the A&M game again this year. If someone with an RV pass would like to sell it for that game, please contact me at desertcajun@elp.rr.com

Which lot is 412? We park in the CEBA lot, whichever one that is. First come first serve. If you're late getting there they direct you to an overflow lot somewhere else. Usually not a problem but if it's a big game, get there early if possible.

We have been in this lot for a while now, dating back to when it was directly across from the Vet School. It is first come first serve, and typically opens Thursday evening. Your retirees are parked Thursday morning and start lining up, but really no need to rush. While it is first come, first serve most people try to be respectful as many have been in same spot/area for years.

If you come in anytime Friday there is plenty of room, and really only fills up for your Bama/Florida/Auburn style games and even then that is late Friday night. Really good people around the lot.

Cars are allowed in the lot around the busses until about 6 or 7 hours before kickoff, and only vehicles pulling campers are allowed to stay and lot is closed to traffic.

RV’s must be out by Sunday around 12pm.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions just post and will try and answer.

My suggestion is to find a place to park your car on Friday night and then walk back to the RV lot and yes, they will shut you down if you don't have the exhaust extension above your roof.

If you go to lsusports.net you should be able to find info on rv parking with all the rules/restrictions. Should be under parking I would guess

Thank you all for the responses. Should make our first rv tailgate a bit less painless.
I've been to the LSU website and I've read some conflicting things in various spots. Like can I leave my truck next to my camper the whole time, or do I have to move it to a different lot after the camper is parked. Think I've got my answers.

I got a spot and rented an RV a few years back, 2019 season vs Florida. I parked the RV on the side near a parking lot and just moved the truck there, that way it was super close to the RV. That way we had more space to setup tables, tents and ice chests. Great vibe in that lot, had alot of fun.
Also, I used an inverter and a marine battery to run a TV. Worked all day with no issues. We had a generator but didn’t use it, it wasn’t too hot or cold, so we were able to just chill. I did make an exhaust for the generator out of a gutter downspout, but didn’t end up using it.

are you talking about Touchdown Village 1 and 2 across from the CEBA building? If so, the spots are assigned in those lots. I have a season pass there...

No. This lot is by the Levee Lot. I would have loved to get a spot in TD Village 1, but couldn't find a spot we liked.

First come first served. I’m sure people have spots they try to get every week but if you beat them there it’s tough shite. Lot opens on Thursday night so you get a lot of time there if you can.

Make sure to park facing south so your door and awning faces away from the setting sun. I’ve seen first timers make that mistake.

Calen, I knew you were talking about the lot by the levee. I was asking Jim Rockford who says they Park by CEBA first come first serve. You're good!

Do all generators need the exhaust or just ones on motor homes? We have a camper and a portable generator. My understanding is yes, but husband’s is no. Also, it sounds like the tow vehicles can stay parked in the lot? LSU said they could when we called if it fit in the space, but website says they have to leave, so we are confused on that one.
