Can folks now see what a few objective posters were trying to say after the first two games? Specifically regarding the passing game.

Anyone who dared question the great and almighty coach Canada was ridiculed for 3-4 pages with the usual comments, ie idiot, you know nothing about football, etc.

Lesson here is, you NEED to question a team after beating a bad opponent. Its not bashing, it's about taking those games and extracting it to the rest of the season.

Let the excuses fly

I was ridiculed for suggesting that we should have let Etling come out and throw the ball all over the field against BYU. My suggestion was met with the usual secret playbook types of responses. You saw how well that worked last night.

What were the concerns about the passing game?

We didn't work on it. We ran some single read play action plays against vastly inferior opponents and people ate it up. Etling was not asked to do very much in the first two games.

Was there mention of the fact he was the only offensive coach nominated for the Broyles award

Umm we threw like 14 passes. And 6 of those were deep balls against subpar defenders.

There are a lot of gullible fans on here who are so blinded by their purple and gold glasses that they can't decipher reality from fiction. LSU will most likely win the next two games in dominant fashion then the pumpers will be back in full force talking playoff again no matter if we are penalized 30 times in two games.

We are averaging less pass attempts this year per game than we were with Miles and Cameron.

Think about that for a second.

What the hell Canada?

Serious question, how old are you? I'm guessing not very old.

Why does it matter? Do you disagree with anything he said?

Can we get cliffs from the interview?

Also, these next 2 weeks do sht for me and my confidence to win big SEC games. The goal is to find a way to finally win the SEC again. We got some sht to work on starting with penalties. I hope the Alexander and Farrell(sp) have rubber bands around over their shoulders and under their feet to keep them low heading in the tackle.

I feel like the calls were BS, but I would like to avoid the situation altogether. I hope that DJ has to block DB's in practice with clubs over his hands. I hope the Olinemen are blindfolded and told there's a baby behind them and they better not move get touched.

We have a new offensive coordinator is a reason that comes to mind. Besides, what would DE throwing the ball a lot in those games prove? There was ZERO pressure from those defenses. State has better athletes and he didn't perform well. As for NYU being a bad team, let's see. I'm more inclined to say that they are average. A three game stretch of at LSU on a weird travel arrangement, followed by your hated rival and Wisconsin is brutal. They were gassed early against Wisconsin. We got our arse kicked by Moo State. It's time to regroup or fire the lot from King on down. One game though, win or lose, rarely is a predicter of LSU's season. Let's see how all this plays out.
