Question regarding guest pickers for Gameday and some posters suggestions?

I've seen people suggest Eli manning and will Clark. This baffles me, I understand they may have been born in LA, but they are know for playing at rival SEC schools.
Jamarcus Russell was from Alabama, would alabama fans suggest him if gameday was in Tuscaloosa?

They are realistic options... LSU doesn't get to chose the picker, ESPN does. Ole Miss is the team in the top5 not LSU. A player like Eli, who is off this week and from Louisiana but played at Ole Miss, is a pretty legitimate choice for ESPN to make.

I personally like the suggestion of Eli, Reuben, and Odell all together. That would be unique for Gameday.
But the trend this year has been more to entertainers, and not necessarily sports figures.
