I am soon to be 63, and I like being on the board. My son told me about it years ago. I do get on the political board sometimes, but I have come to the point where I can barely stand it. As a bleeding heart liberal from the sixties, it amazes me when it comes to some of the things people say and believe. I certainly believe everyone should have a chance to voice an opinion, but some on the board are really out there. I get the feeling that they would make Hitler look like a commie sympathizer. God forbid that someone says that the president -- I believe his name is Barack Obama -- did something good.

I really don't get to the political board too much becasue it's worse than this one when it comes to civility. I never try to offend anyone, and I am sure I must have on at least a few occasions. So be it, and if I did, I stand humbled and apologize. I notice that a post starts out as a usually innocuous comment, a polite reply follows, a more pointed reply follows that, and the it's STFU YOU a-hole. If you wanted to teach a course in manners, this would be my first stop for a lesson in obnoxiousness.

I also have to belive that some of the people on here critcizing the players on the team coildn't walk to the mailbox without an oxygen break. I have these visions of some 5'5", 320 pound twenty-three year old virgin taking a break from the Xbox to tear into a player or Coach Miles. I can only hope that if you should die soon, you won't wind up being one of the seventy virgins promised to an Afghan suicide bomber who died in the name of Allah. It's going to be a great disappointment to the TWO OF YOU.
