Actually it's a question(s) for those who have a very high optimism level going into the season (mine's roughly as high as poon de la giraffe).

If you're in the "feel pretty strongly that we'll will the west, have about 1 loss, win SECCG," or better, when did you get that way? Any specific reason (outside of talent, talent, and talent)?

Well it's the first time in a while that we actually have a lot coming back. So why not have some optimism?

well as you said, talent talent and talent is the main reason.

there is also a pattern every 4 years LSU is competing for the championship. this is now the 4th year.

so there is that.

the schedule is pretty favorable and for once we return numerous starters on both sides of the ball.

U can see confidence a mile higher last year from les. Oline oline oline RB RB RB. Bama had rookie QB but beast of oline and Trent Ingram and defense. We are there. Dline will prove worthy. We win 10-11. AJ won 8. If he can win 8 Harris csn win 10-11

Only way to be is positive. If not, what's the point.

Because it ain't about the X's and O's, it's all about the Jimmys and Joes.

It's fun to talk Xs and Os but, at the end of the day, I'm not a coach and I don't need such talk to shield my truest feelings, which are:

LSU is the only college football team worth giving a damn about and I will always hope and wish they win every game, eviscerate every opponent, and -especially- drain the blood from the red team and their self-righteous and idiotic fans.

When did I get this way? When I was just a little baby.

I'm not a positiger at all, but I can be one this year. LSU is prob more talented than anyone in the SEC. Certainly as talented as any other team. Coaching is the biggest question mark.

Another reason to be positive is that the rest of the SEC is weak compared to the last decade. Alabama is down big.

yeah really, you a born loser? I always expect LSU to achieve or overachieve and get pissed when they underachieve. Disappointment is something your pea brain can't handle so I guess being a defeatist bich is a defense mechanism.

Our running backs being such bulldozers this year, defensive backs will hate us and most teams will have lost manpower at half time ! Our opponents next game adversaries will send us thank you notes !

Actually, I've been that way every year since 2003. I expect the Tigers to go undefeated every year. I hope the coaches and players expect that too. That's what makes a program elite.

that doesn't sound very positive. sounds like you'll be pissed off all season unless we play for another NC

That's what I said and that's what I meant. With the talent we've had/have lately there's no reason to expect less.
