Question about the Syracuse Game

Every place I look says that the LSU-Syracuse game will be on Saturday, September 23 EXCEPT ESPN, which says it will be on Friday, September 22. I can't see why ESPN would schedule a Friday night game that early in the year, but dumber things have happened. I tried searching here and on google and found nothing to indicate the game will be on Friday. Has anyone heard anything on the subject? Thanks.

LSU DOES NOT play home games except on Saturdays except for natural disasters.

ESPN always has Friday games but I'm sure it's just a misprint.

The Alumni Association has picked this game as the LSU Band Reunion weekend. These games are always on Saturday. I just got my email invitation from the Alumni Association.

Would be extremely pissed off if this game was on a Friday. Alleva would catch big time hell if he let that happen.

We played Arkansas the day after Thanksgiving for a little over a decade. But the Syracuse will be on Saturday
