I forget which of the brothers was at bat, but appeared he jumped out the way of being hit by the pitch. Why was he punched out? Was the pitch a strike over the inside part of the plate or did the umpire say he swung at the pitch?

The pitch was in the right hand batters box and the ump called it a strike

He obviously didn't swing.

It was Bryce... and he most certainly didn't swing. Looked like a blown call from the stadium too.

Horrible call
Seemed to me the ump was out to get Bryce for crowding the plate.

Catcher moved his glove a foot to "frame it".

Unfortunately I couldnt find the humor in that situation like the announcers who laughed at each of the 20 replays.

Was a bullshite call in a rather important at-bat.

This was the worst crew ever to work the tournament. It was terrible. And I rarely hate on umpire calls knowing that a zone can be "bad" but consistency is what matters. And the calls on the field were even worse. The AA umpire seemed... lost. Nicest way I can put it.

It wasn't a strike, but those dudes crowd the plate and try to get hit. It was a lot closer--and would have looked it--if he hadn't crow hopped over it.

Right he could have let it hit him and Walsh would have made him get back in the box saying he didn't try to get out of the way. Walsh was a Fla. fan yesterday.

I'm as big a LSU fan as you can get, but that ball would not have hit him.

I think Bryce misread it for a 2 seamer that was running in and it stayed pretty flat.

i dont think it would have hit him and i do think bryce kinda misjudged it. it was still a ball by a solid 6 inches. it was also pretty low. just an awful call.
