Question about cabs

Getting to campus in the am with some friends. Another friend, who has never even been to lsu's campus, let alone gameday, is leaving around 12 from Nola. Think it would be smart to tell him to park at la'buerge and cab it to campus instead of trying to find his away around campus with a car and find parking somewhere close??
