On the LSU website it says our baseball stadium seating capacity is 10,326.

I noticed we had the highest attendance for the league again this year with a per game average of 10,644 and a season total of 361,912.

If the stadium were bigger, how many seats do you think we could fill per game? Do you think there is enough interest to double the current attendance to 20k?

No, those numbers represent tickets sold, not people in the stadium. We also have standing room tickets.

They don't report actual attendance anymore. I don't think a single game went over 8k this year using the eyeball test. Not once did the RF Homerun bleachers get over halfway full.

The only games with 10,000+ actual attendance will be during the Regionals and Super Regionals, if then. Some season ticket holders don't go to a single game till the post season. I don't see the value in expanding the stadium just for post season games.

There isn't enough interest to regularly fill our stadiums current capacity

I still think lsu should have some kind of berm/GA party area. Somewhere you could drink beer and hang out. Would allow for more sro area in addition to the grandstand and it would seem to me that basically Tailgating inside the stadium would appeal to many fans. Not exactly sure where they'd put it, but I doubt the people in the left field leftover-from-the-old-box bleachers would mind if that area got a spruce up.

LSU stopped because they were the only school who reported actual attendance for baseball and LSU started having too many 10,000 paid 2,500 actual games. People started calling LSU out on it for some reason.. I guess thinking we were lying when we said the attendance was 10,000.. even though every single school uses paid attendance. So LSU said screw you guys and started only giving paid.

That's how I remember it as well. Which is why I was curious how Dellenger fit into that.

I wish they'd start giving the actual crowd for big games much like they do for basketball still. They always only give paid for basketball unless it was a gigantic crowd.

So only give paid except for big Friday or Saturday games and then for the postseason.

I wish we had built a huge grandstand that went from the end of one baseline to the other...and had ZERO bleachers anywhere. About 14K.

Interesting thing from Starkvegas this weekend (I was at the Thursday and Friday games). EVERY State fan I spoke to in their grandstand complained loudly about their new stadium redo. They were ALL extremely negative. I was surprised.
