This is not the only reason for the beatdown from Bama, just an observation that I have had for quite some time. QB is a problem that we have not been able to adequately address for 5-7+ years. We recuit like crazy at all other positions. Since QB is really the single most important position on the field, Miles needs to completely rethink the recruiting and coaching of QBs. (I refuse to go back to the Jefferson/Lee fiasco.)
I don't have any inside info on recruiting, but the deficiencies at QB have GOT TO BE at least discussed with and among big time recruits. Are the problems at QB keeping us from getting the recruits that we may need?? We cannot win at a high level until we have a constant supply of highly qualified QBs in the pipeline.....and someone that can coach them. We can have the best game plan, defense, special teams, etc., in the world but until we have that stability at QB, we won't consistently contend. I have no idea how Ohio St got the embarrassment of riches at QB that they have but we should take a hard look at what they and other programs that have had that stability are doing.
So let me have it........
