Quarterbacks coach?

Who coaches the quarterbacks here? To watch Jarrett Lee make the same mistakes and suffer the same mechanical and mental problems, I question whoever coaches the most important position on the field. Jefferson's mechanics are still ugly (yes, I know it's a long road, but they could've gotten better since the fall), and he made alot of mental mistakes that could be put on the coaches also.
Sometimes I question how much of the mental side these guys really work on... but is it there fault? Is someone sitting them down to watch extra film, and teaching them how to play the position? Students generally show at least slight improvements.
Ole Miss's secondary was awful; they weren't too clever either. I, and I'm sure many others, could see blitzes and coverages from a mile away. (Don't give me the "it's different down on the field" because I know that it is. I've done it. I'm not talking reading defenses like Manning, I just expect our quarterbacks to look a little more prepared for what is going to be thrown at them.)
Does this fall on the players? I'm sure that some of it does. But whoever coaches the quarterbacks should shoulder alot of the blame for our lackluster performance under center.

Gary "The Wizard" Crowton is the QB coach.

We do not even have one...

Well with all of the young quarterbacks coming up, we might want to bring somebody in for a little guidance don't ya think?

I see this as a glaring need. Equal to if not greater than the need for a new DC.(not that we dont need a DC.)

I agree 100%. Bring in a DC and bring in a QB coach. That's nearly a guarantee for an improved season next year.

JJ got to LSU in the summer and Lee just started getting meaningful reps this spring. So they've both gotten real coaching/preparation for all of 4 and 9 months respectively.
Time is what is needed. They both will be fine.

There still could've been more improvement. Even in three weeks. But was there anyone there to teach?

Your right about time. They still need a QB coach with valid game experience. Why not get Bobby Hebert involved?
