There's never been a high school district with that much QB talent among all the schools combined, let alone at 1 school. You freaking dolt.
People like you are the reason ISIS wants to destroy us.

They are ok on depth for the next 2 years.

The key is making sure McMillan doesn't get impatient and making sure they sign someone who can run their offense this year or 2018-2019 will be 2014-2015 all over again.

I don't recall having 4-5 scholarship QBs under Miles ever is what I was getting at.

Didn't we have Mett, Jennings, Rivers, Boulden, and Rettig in 2013? 1 graduated and 3 transferred out and left us in the lurch in 2014.

He can throw for 3000 yards...but if he can't step up in big games and can't complete the critical third and 7.....it won't matter. people focus way to much on stats...but how does he perform when the pressure is on.....??? Does he fold up like a tent or does he become a winner? I know what he did this year....let's hope he steps up next year.

So did it matter in 2013? 2006? 2007? Most of 2011? Same coach right? Idiot.

Just because we have so many doesn't mean we have depth. We don't need 5. We need 1.

He completely and significantly regressed the last 4 games...that's a problem...whether people admit it or not. The stage was to big. Couldn't complete easy throws and the ones he did complete he about got our recs killed. Can't read a defense at all...and has no pocket presence.... But I'm sure all of that will be MUCH better next year right?

Me too. According to an interview he gave after transferring, the offense changed dramatically after Mett left. Cam wanted dual-threat guys, and Rettig didn't fit that mold. I believe he transferred after Spring ball, so I guess that was when the dramatic change in the offense happened.

Considering how thin we were, how unprepared Jennings was, and the fact that we had just run the offense with a pro-style guy the year before, Cam doing his doesn't make any sense at all. This is just Rettig's side of the story, but he isn't really taking shots at Cam or at LSU. It just seems very matter of fact that he didn't fit in Cam's new system.

All that said, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Rutgers, but I think they actually have a pretty decent starting QB.

Next year will be getting LF7 over 2500 yards rushing which means roughly 2000 passing. You only get about 70-75 plays a game. These teams that pile up all those passing yards do not rush the ball or vice versa. I remember last year Oklahoma had game where they had 500 yards rushing and 30 yards passing.

He looked decent in spot duty, but didn't get a lot of PT

It doesn't matter who the QB is. Our QBs always look confused, frustrated, and panicked. We could have TEN QBs and it wouldn't make a difference. The coaching is not there and they can't step up when it matters. LM will continue to rely on running into brick walls to win games and passing only in desperation.

Where to?

Did he even play a down this year? I was thinking that if he didn't (or next year for that matter), he could transfer out as a graduated red shirt senior and play right away for D1. He might actually graduate in the spring so that might be an option.

I hope he stays though, it never hurts to have a senior QB around and he is a great kid. I think he and Harris will be serviceable qbs by the time they finish college.

Are they coming back as wide receivers? They might not be as quick but I guess we could try them.
