If anyone payed attention to what Coach O's said the other day it speaks volumes. "We are keeping it as an open QB battle because Myles is not here yet and we promised him a shot."

To me this was said possibly for 3 reasons:

1.) They think Brennan is really that good and can come in and light shite up

2.) They made a recruit a promise and don't want to come off as liars

3.) Danny is better than anyone on roster and they wanna give Myles a chance to see if he is better

Certainly, without question, Brennan should be given the opportunity. Bama does it with Hurts and the new pineapple.

Or....they think Narcisse given some time and reps over the summer will make a push for some PT. He's the most physically gifted qb we have on the roster in terms of size, arm strength and running ability. Etling is your opening day starter, but don't sleep on Lowell getting some designed packages next fall. JMO

I would actually like to see multiple QBs used in the BYU game. If the staff believes they are ready to handle the offense, are both mentally and physically ready, let Myles and Lowell all get a series in the 1st quarter against BYU. Give them all honest play calls, that will give them real looks and not just hand it off. Our D will smolder BYU so if anything bad were to happen (turnover, 3-and-out, etc.) it would't affect the game that much.

Again, only if the young guns are ready. No need to put them out there if the coaches feel like it would be a disaster.

Brennan is about 175 lbs right now. The kid may be good, but will get broke in two. Time to start packing on some muscle.

Biggest problem with Brennan right now is he's too small. He needs to put on weight first

Etling doesn't have the skills. We might be screwed at QB this year.

Brennan needs significant weight gain, Narcisse was the least accurate QB during warm ups yesterday.

Brennan is not ready for the speed of college football. He hasn't faced any real competition yet.

Etling will be the starter. Just look at the way reps are being issued out. Narcisse has been there all spring and prior to the spring game the last scrimmage he had 2 passing attempts. Does that sound like an open QB competition? They will let Brennan come in throw it around and he and Narcisse will get redshirts.

At this point I think that Etling will be starter, with Narcisse & Brennan battling it out for the starting position next fall. Brennan's weight is concerning -- surely they have put him on a weight program to try to bulk him up, but it hasn't worked yet. They need to make sure Lowell is 100% healthy and work on his passing accuracy over the next year. The kid is by all accounts a workhorse -- showed up at 235 and within 2-3 weeks was down to 220 and ripped; practicing his passing drills out in local parks when he's not at regular practice.

Sorry but truth be told that Mississippi HS competition isn't very good... I think he'll do well but first he needs to pack on some pounds

I was hoping Scott would emerge, but it looks like he's not making the strides we thought he might.
