Call me crazy but I really like the purple pants. And without a stripe. I wish we hadn’t lost that stupid game to Kentucky way back then and we didn’t have such a superstitious and/or unwilling to shake things up fan base and staff or Admin (whoever makes the decisions or influences them) I think they look clean and classy.

Is there some special rule or some reason that the recruits aren't allowed or don't put on the up-to-date versions of the jerseys? That template was used back and the Fournette years if I'm correct

I remember in the '80's they wore yellow jerseys and the numbers were hardly legible. Not sure what color the numbers were but it was a complete fail.

Yellow is not one of our colors. Purple and gold are. LSU never wore gold jerseys in the 80’s. We wore gold in the 90’s when Dinardo was coach.

You recall wrong. We wore our normal gold helmets and black cleats. It was also the Dinardo era not Hallman.

It was clear the uniforms crafted that loss @ underdog Kentucky. No other reason-- the Cats were terrible that year

I don’t think they will ever wear purple pants again after that debacle at Kentucky years ago. Don’t remember what year though
