the home team chooses and for the longest time the visiting team had to consent but that rule is gone in SEC.
home team decides for SEC games.

Uniforms
In accordance with NCAA football rules, the home team shall wear dark jerseys and the visiting team
shall wear white jerseys. White jerseys may be worn by the home team when the teams have agreed before the season. (The Athletics Directors have agreed to always grant a home team’s request to wear white jerseys, in which case the visiting team shall wear dark jerseys.)

Why all of a sudden does everyone want to go all Oregon and play mix and match with traditional uniforms? That kind of stuff is good for programs that are attempting to establish their program with some kind of "Wow" factor but schools like LSU, bama, nd, michigan, etc have TRADITION that includes their uniforms and colors and don't need to re-create themselves every weekend. I understand nike, or whoever, may throw a ton of money at a traditional program every now and then and has them wear something a little different but all of this mixing and matching drives me nuts, is this football are a fashion show run by queer eye for the football guy?

Yea, right. I can promise you we will have crimson jersey's on saturday. We wear our "home/dark" jerseys at home.

I think that would look pretty sweet. I'm all for trying out new uniform possibilities as long as their not MAC looking
