LSU would rather refurbish a tiger cage and blow money on windows campuswide than worrying about budget cuts that threaten the status of the state's flagship university. Go figure!

The Athletic Department covers way more than it's share. They can use some of their money on themselves.

What would be wrong with just replacing them with some facsimile of what is there currently? I've always liked the classic look of those. No need for cheesing up the exterior any more.

replace the windows,please. They were in need of replacing when I lived in the north endzone back in the mid 80's. Besides they did say it was going to be with donations, not state funds. As for the tacky, is there anything more tacky than purple & gold. You got to Love purple & gold no matter what!

Colored glass is high dollar especially if it's not something a normal supplier would have. I see all kinds of different colored glass but I've yet to see a purple or gold glass, so I'm sure alot of the cost is for fabrication of the glass itself. Along with lift rental and just general man hours to replace each window.

Yeah if its like.....bright and noticable it'll look horrible. If it looks like glass but when you walk reflects a glossy subtle purple and gold it's gonna look BEAST

sounds VERY VERY cheesy...Leave the stadium alone dammnit..unless you are going to fix the ugly West side facade, which is weak-arse

I remember seeing the plan for this a while back. In the picture I saw, it actually looked really nice. It was subtle, not bright. It was pictured on that improvement plan of the stadium and the area outside of it. I don't know if they're still using that same plan, but that actually looked nice.
