Is there any doubt with our bowl opt-outs what Purdue is going to try to do?

They’re going to test our young front four by pounding the rock and attempting to control the clock. If we can’t stop their run game with those beefy Midwestern linemen, the game may be closer than we think (especially if it’s a wet field). I hope the young Tigers in the trenches on D are up for the challenge.

Geaux Tigers!

Not only that but add in their QB and top two WR not playing, I’m sure the running game will be priority #1

Based on what I have seen all year, they will have several good drives to start. Got to limit them to FGs on those drives.

It seems like Matt House plans for what their team is good at/most likely will do, then has to adjust to what they are actually doing in the 1st half, which takes 3ish drives.

Purdue has one of the worst rushing offenses in the Big 10. They average 123 ypg and 3.7 ypc. Without their starting QB and his top two receiving targets, they're going to struggle to move the ball.

Purdue is not like other Big 10 teams. They are a finesse offense. They are very poor at running the ball. I attended their Nebraska game and they didn’t run it well against one of the worst teams in the conference. Their fans blame their inability to run the ball for several of their losses. A finesse team with without their qb and best 2 targets (WR and TE) and a poor rushing attack can try to run the ball but even with a depleted front for us it shouldn’t matter. Their offense should look inept.

As insightful as posting what 50% of any football offense opportunity in the world is, what would be even more helpful is to know their specific run game blocking scheme, down/distance and short/wide side tendencies are.

...and how many times Drew Brees shouts "Kill, kill"

Last I checked this was The Rant. So we’re not allowed to discuss strategy for the upcoming bowl game or anything else you don’t approve of?
