Projected Baseball Lineup

1. Robertson 2B
2. Duplantis OF
3. Fraley OF
4. Deichmann DH
5. Jordan 3B
6. Lockridge SS
7. Papierski C
8. Adams 1B
9. Ducote OF
I think the lineup will be very fluid throughout the year, but I think Duplantis find his way into the lineup. Deichmann is not ready to be a SS, he needs work in the field, great bat to have though. Personally would like to see what Adams can do higher in the lineup, I know its fall practice.
From watching the scrimmages I think we need some leadership. With so many new guys, somebody has to step up. I have been pleasantly surprised by Brennan Breaux.
Our pitching will absolutely be filthy. I think CPM has done a better job with this staff bringing in guys to fill bullpen needs as well as guys that bring different stuff to the table.
Midweek: Riley Smith (Think he will be a big part of the pen.)
Friday: Lange
Saturday: Poche
Sunday: Latz
Closer: Stallings
Godfrey looked better and had better command.
In the pen alone you have: Reynolds, McKay (he will start some games this year), Bain, Bugg, and Cartwright, and Valek.
You have 4 guys that can start and feel good with Lange, Latz, Poche, Smith, in tourney play.
Edit: Also Valek will start some and could be a sunday starter at times.

I think the pitching will buy the offense some time to develop some chemistry

Dawson will play ss or 3rd. I think freeman is the other contender for the two spots.

What about Trey Dawson?

Not with that pitching staff they wont. Hitting will likely be a weak spot but they wont need to score much to win most games. Good thing too is that this will likely be a team that gets much better as the season goes on and will probably be a much better team at the end of the season than at the beginning as the guys get more and more reps hitting top pitching.

Like I said I think it will be very fluid, but I think one of the Jordan twins is in just simply for experience.
I like Dawson and think, him and Lochridge will be great Tigers. It could go either way, and the noncon will work it out. I do not think Deichmann ever plays 2B or SS this year, and I really do not think CPM trusts Kramer at SS.
It is very telling when freshmen are their before him. He is not a very good leader IMO.

I agree, I personally would rather Dawson at 3rd instead of Jordan. I also think Freeman brings some toughness and having college experience is a factor. I think all of the Delgado kids play this year a lot.

Beau Jordan in LF.

Won't miss NCAA's, but MJ predicts the team goes as far as baserunning carries them.
If we're like last year, there's a shot at Omaha.
If we're like the Javi years, we run ourselves out in the regionals.

I agree, hence why I think Duplantis finds his way into the lineup.

Since I have been following much of MLB this season, I would say our lineup looks like the Mets. STRONG SP, and abv avg bullpen. DEF looks good, but the bats are the question mark. Gotta score to win. Lack of runs puts a huge amt of pressure on P's to be 'perfect' when then pitch and it will not last over the course of a long season.
I think expectations are mixed, and rightfully so. How many other teams lost 8 pos players? IF a couple of guys in that lineup are capable of hitting .300 or better throughout the season we should be ok and make a run. Honestly I would think next season (2017) is where we will be a top 5 contender. GT!

We know the pitching will be great and I think the hitting will be weak but I want to know about the defense. Is there still speed in the outfield (besides fraley) and do we have infielders. Great defense makes your pitching loll better, poor defense can make it look worse.

I don't think you can afford Robertson and Deichmann to both be in this lineup. That's two automatic outs at this point. And I don't see Dawson not being an every day guy on the left side of the infield. If Dawson, Lochridge and Deichmann are steady in the field we see less of Robertson because those three guys have a higher ceiling at the plate and can hopefully develop.

I don't think Robertson will be in the lead off spot.

Forgot about Freeman. Throw him in the mix.

That article looks promising. Ideally I'd like to see Deich at 3rd Dawson at SS and Freeman at 2nd. Didn't realize they had been working Deich at 2nd. But I'm more excited about his bat coming around.
Dawson is your SS for the next 3-4 years though in my opinion.

I haven't been following Fall baseball.
Does Latz appear to be 100% recovered from his injury?
