do you see fields DH'ing on the days that Raph starts in LF?
Word is that Fields really struggled at the plate in the fall. Not that this means he can't improve, but I hear he did not hit worth a damn in the practices/scrimmages.

this sucks we have great pitching but our batting is so bad and looking at this line up isnt making me feel better. All we have is jones, katz and rhymes; everyone else is inconsistent.

Some of the newcomers are going to have to contribute. Casey Yocom had a great fall--maybe he'll be a factor.

look for aaron nola to start weekends as well
barring an injury, no way.
on talent alone, this may be the most talented weekend rotation ever at LSU.
Nola could possibly close or come in long relief. Start some weekday games.

Yea Nola ain't starting the weekend
I'm excited about our bullpen. I think rumbelow is the real deal and nick goody looks like a K machine

Rhymes is the much better hitter. Fields is better in the field. If it was up to me I'd keep Fields in LF for now, if his bat continues to hold him back obviously Rhymes would then move to LF with one of the bench players filling in at DH.
I wouldn't be suprised to see guys like Jackson Slaid getting a few reps in the outfield this month.

Adam,
Is Donald Green still working with the team as an assistant strength and conditioning coach?(Got drafted by the Mets out of TSU)

1Feilds LF
2Haneover 2B
3Rhymes DH
4Nola SS
5Katz RF
6Jones CF
7Edward/Didier 3B/1B
8Dozar 3B/1B
9Ross/Snikeris C
I think edwards and didier will split time until one of them proves they are truly better

When do they schedule the scrimmages? I got a good look at the team last year during a few of these.
BTW: The suites will never be ready in time.

I really hope that is not our lineup/starters.

I'm going to choose to believe that our pitching was just so good that our hitting looked poor in the fall
I like the potential of a lot of our young guys and having to go against that rotation in practice has to benefit us at the plate. Hopefully the weak early schedule gets some of the new guys over the jitters.

Hanover and Nola led the nation in double plays in their sophomore season. Does anyone remember that? I don't really get it when people disrespect Hanover. He is a great kid and is a team player. He is playing 3rd even though I am sure he would rather be playing 2nd. What a great kid. I think he had a good fall, but I really don't read about that. He has started since his freshman year. He was NC player of the year. I'm excited about what this young man is going to do this year. Sorry if I offended someone by saying something nice about this kid, but I just think it should be said.

Edward cannot be the best we have...or Ross.

Evan Powell should give them a run for their money at catcher

what did PM say about Powell, Moore and Yocom? What positions will Moore and Powell likely play? Thanks

Powell was very solid at 3B in highschool and he played Catcher for the US Junior Olympic team
