The Deaf Dome was named that by Dickie V back when the PMAC was actually crazy.

It's Gameday!!!!!

Hope everyone is planning on making it out this afternoon! I'll be leaving work a few minutes early to make sure I get there with plenty of time to spare.

This one comes down to the Buzzer...LSU has Homecourt Advantage & Steal Per Game working in their favor, but will get hurt from the Free Throw Line, & Mizzou's Larger starting Lineup (no player under 6'5)....71-70 either way...

Guaranteed Tiger Victory...but would like to see the Bayou Bengals get the home win...

Im really surprised by the line on this game. It started at LSU -4 and has moved to LSU -5. Seems like a lot of points to me, but you know how basketball games go. a 3 point lead can become a 5 point lead when they start fouling.

I mean my prediction was a 5 point LSU win but I thought the line would be 2 or 3.

Our team is so Jekyll and Hyde, you never know who will show up. All we can do is hope.

As it stands today, there aren't a lot of resume-building opportunities left on LSU's schedule. The SEC still just isn't a great conf. (6th or 7th in Conf. RPI rankings). Just looking ahead, LSU's got:

Mizzou
UK (twice)
Ark (twice - maybe a good RPI booster)
Fla.

That's really about it until SECT time (which may be too little too late if LSU doesn't win in the reg season). LSU just can't let home opportunities go to waste. This team has had it's chances this year for good/great wins, and has fallen short (UMass, Memphis, Tenn). If they are going to make any sort of push for an NCAAT bid, it HAS to start tonight IMO.

Very Very Big game for the guys tonight, This is In my opinion is a "Resume" game. I just hope the guys value the opportunity each game present and dont piss them away, defensively stay on their assignments, help when needed and finish with everyone crashing the boards, on offense have movement and play inside out and share the ball and remain aggressive. If those things happen we shouldnt have much of a problem, I am worried about free throw shooting if the game is close down the stretch...

I just checked out some articles from the Mizzou writer here in St Louis. He has us winning 74-70. Basically that our frontcourt will lead the way.

He's a really good writer, but I could tell by his analysis it was more statistical comparison than anything. He talked about how good our guards are defensively, based on steals and def shooting pct. But they will struggle with the bigger guards, especially Clarkson.

Overall, very respectful articles though.

They're on stltoday.com if anyone is interested. I'd link them but I already closed them in my browser.
