flat out inaccurate and doesnt mention the fact that he was injured. He was a freshman and his greatest asset was his ability to move, without that at full speed he would be carrying a load on a flat tire.

Yes he was hurt, but he didn't have a "flat tire" all year. The ankle was probably healed enough for him to play later in the year. Can't use the injury excuse for all 13 weeks.

Not quite having a grasp of the offense yet is very different from being prone to mistakes. BH hasn't shown whether he is prone to mistakes or not yet. He didn't play enough to earn a "far too often" label yet.

Fair point, the sample size from Harris is very small. But the gist of it is that Harris needs to learn to add his skills into our offense. Last year he wasn't able to hand the ball off or keep drives alive consistently.
He doesn't need to throw for 500 yards and 5 TD's a game if he can just give LSU 7 man fronts to run against and get the ball to receivers in space.

I just don't get the concern over turnovers.

That was tough to read. Did he even attempt to proofread it?
I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Last season, the Tigers were dreadful under center, whether it be Anthony Jennings or Brandon Harris taking the snaps.

Sounds to me like he said both were horrible.

The QB play as a whole was horrible, and I don't know how you can argue that. Harris had a good couple of minutes against MSU and he lit up Sam Houston, other than that there was very little to cheer about by the QBs. Sure most of it was Jennings, but Harris also played terrible in an important SEC game.

Using stats from the entire season misrepresents what Harris contributed. It was mostly Jennings.

Harris did not have enough playing time to say he had a gunslinger mentality and was prone to mistakes and making bad decisions.
The only thing I really agree with is that he is the X factor. If he performs as well as everyone hopes the championship is a very real possibility.

More great insight from a hack who has never seen Harris or Jennings except on tv. He didn't have an article ready by deadline so he slapped this pos together based on what he heard in a men's room last spring.

Fwiw, Gordy talked about how he needs to play within the play and not do too much freelancing during the pregame. Last year was a small sample, but in the Moo St and Auburn games he did a good bit of extending plays and making contested throws way down field. Also, his high school tape definatley shows he at least came in with a gunslinger mentality.
