The big match-ups and a final record.

As it stands, I'd say 7-4 so far.

1. Definite loss to Florida in Gainseville
2. Bama here, and a bad beatdown at that
3. Finally gonna be A&M this year
4. Either Arkansas(as always), OleMiss, or Auburn might even surprise us in Jordan-Hare

The only game I see as a loss is Alabama assuming they play at a high level and we don't.

Now, we could lose any number of games but I just do not see that happening. I don't think the team will fall apart like most of the fanbase has.

My realistic prediction is we end up 9-3 losing to Alabama and either @UK, @AU, or @ Arkie.

I think we win against JSU, but it will be uncomfortably close. Nothing changes, as far as the offense goes.

Auburn's offense looks as bad as ours but their defense is better than last year. That does not bode well for us, given our performance against Wisconsin.

Florida, they didn't look great against one of the worst teams in football. But it is over there so who knows.

Arkansas, don't know, Ole Miss sure looks like a loss, Alabama damn sure looks like a loss.

Doesn't make one feel optimistic which sucks to say that given our talent. We have the talent to go toe to toe with anyone, including Alabama.

:(

If Kelley plays like he did for 2.5 quartets, no. No that doesn't look like a loss at home to Ole Miss.

You turn the ball over that many times, you ain't winning shite.

Not on the lines.

Respectfully, I have to disagree. We scored 7 points offensively against Wisconsin.

Ole Miss got into double digit scores offensively vs FSU, even after halftime when Kelly started fumbling the ball and throwing poor throws.

Am I saying we'll only score 7 points offensively in every game? Goodness, no.

But I am saying that offensively Ole Miss looked better prepared than we did. Sure, we can be better prepared but I really don't think our offense will change that much, if at all.

Even if it is at home.

Unless things change dramatically, our defense will keep us in the game but again, if the defense is out there too long, they get gassed. We've all seen it before.

I'm not at all saying I want us to lose, I would never want that. LSU football is very special to me but we do have a mess. All anyone can do right now is speculate and hope for the best.

Being too predictable is the problem combined with Miles stubbornness to change anything.

8-4 sounds about right, but they might surprise everybody and go 10-2. Everybody else on our schedule has major issues except Bama, and even they are an injury or two away from a blown season.

10-2. As bad as we looked last week, we sort of blended in with everybody else in the SEC sans Bama (and possibly A&M, who got to open at home).

A lot of the conference is vulnerable this year IMO.

around 8-4. losing to 3 of the 5 mentioned (Bama, OM, Ark, A&M, Florida)

Finishing fourth or fifth in the west in a year when we'll lose a bunch of players to the NFL
