I usually hate these threads but I'm curious to see how Les fields the wideouts and if he starts Gordon over Jeter. The Oline, QB, D and RB are obviously set in stone.

So let's hear it rant. Who ya got?

I'm going

WR- Quinn, Miles sends a message.

WR- Diarse, see above. His only drop was a 10 yard comeback that Harris threw rocketed to him. Against SU and he's our best blocking WR.

TE- Gordon, he adds an online men to our run game (like we needed another bulldozer and will be able to help Hawkins a ton with smaller/quicker DE's.

I think Dural and Dupree obviously play a ton of snaps but Miles makes it very clear that jogging and drops won't be tolerated.

Dural needs to sit. I'm fine with Dupre, but Dural just quits on balls

It's an SEC game.

He's gonna start our best players.

Dural, Dupre, and Jeter

Dural only seems to be there on the deep routes.

Dural and Dupre start but Quinn gets more snaps. Jeter starts at TE.

Has Miles said if Gordon will play?

Dural, Dupre, and Quinn.

Smith and Jeter.

He's a game time decision per his earlier PC. Mills is too technically, but I think it's much more likely Gordon plays.

I think Jeter starts but Gordon gets some snaps to get him back to speed for Flarda

I think Dural, Dupre, Diarse are still the 3 "starters" but Quinn mixes in a good bit

I think the lineup doesn't change at all. Same lineup as last weekend.

just hope the drops don't happen and the receivers actually are ACTIVE in catching vs passive...

Jeter and Gordon really have different roles so IMO starter is kind of irrelevant. Gordon has basically been transformed into an OT eligible. Jeter has surpassed D. Smith in the traditional role of TE.

nope. Give the dude a chance. He HAS to have better hands than the two butterfinger BBs that are getting the benefit of the doubt

I know I'm going to get bashed and what not but even with those 3 wouldn't change the play calling one bit..be the same run, run, pass, punt scenario...just my opinion...

Oh, well as long as it pleases your grace.

My guess is the starting lineup will be unchanged. Other guys will get some looks (especially if the issues persist early on).

Word is (on here from someone, so obviously take it FWIW) he was having major drop issues in practice so he hasn't worked his way onto the field just yet.

Give me Gordon please. While he has been gone LSU has been using Jeter in his place and Jeter has been beat on more than one occasion and gotten one crucial holding call.....There is only one Gordon on this team. Jeter is a decent blocker, but not on Gordon's level. I think we will be alright at WR no matter who starts.

Gordon over Jeter

Jeter has been the most consistent pass catcher. I would throw him about 4 more balls a game until he drops one.

Gordon may still be hurt. Unless it was noted he wasn't. I know Les said he didn't have an exact date when he and mills would return on Monday.

Lol. Except last weekend it was pass, pass, pass, punt. LSU only punted twice.
