Apparently the kids dad handled his recruiting and OM offered a better NIL deal than FL. Sounds like the money people at FL aren’t all in on Billy boy.

Very disappointed he went to a team with a returning starter who also brought in another starter (I think.) Not sure how he is in a much better position there, but maybe he is 2nd on the depth chart.

I don't begrudge him for trying to find a program where he can play immediately. But if he's just going to be in a similar situation, then maybe he can come on back home.

From what I understand the coaches at LSU weren’t happy with how he progressed in the year he was here. Combine that with some of the demands he wanted parting ways was best for everyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t see the field at OM for another 2 years.

Good luck to Mr. Walker. And a bit sorry things didn't work out for him at LSU.
That said, I'm not sure if he improved his situation by jumping to OM (not to say I don't blame him for looking after his own interests). But he'd still have been at best a #3 backup if he'd stayed at LSU. In fact, by next year, he might have moved up to #2 with the departure of Heisman candidate J. Daniels.
No matter, he jumped from a championship contender team to a middle-of-the-pack-at-best team and still won't be a starter, at least for another year or so.
But, for the sake of his father, GEAUX TIGERS!

#1 - Maybe he wasn't elite like a lot of folks said he was (I never saw it).
#2 - He looked undersized for the SEC.
#3 - Sounds like Lane doesn't see elite either as he has brought in a couple QBs to add to the stack.
