What happened to shortening your swing when you are down in the count and not swinging for the fences on every pitch? If this team could just make contact the season would be different. No discipline at all.

We've changed it to taking the third strike as not to tire ourselves for games later on the schedule.

Our problem is not getting hits. It’s getting timely hits. We just aren’t scoring when we have players on base. That’s a different kind of problem. Timely hitting IMO is more about confidence. Unfortunately, we’re in need of more of that.
