Who really believes he is a leader? Have you seen him? I hope he does great but so far all I've seen is an immature kid trying to be something he isn't.
Good idea...2 days before the season kicks off and you come here and berate a player and the starting QB at that..

This site is filled with the biggest freaking morons I have ever witnessed.

Has anyone watched any of the Jaguars preseason games? What do you think his chances are of making the roster?

5 tackles and a sack in jags previous game

He had 1 tackle and half a sack their 1st game against the Eagles... He had 3 assists and 3 tackles (2 for a loss) and a QB hit in the 2nd pre-season game against the Dolphins.

That earned him the right to wear the mic'd helmet when he played well over a half last week. Jax injury situation has worked in his favor.

Nice write-up on the team website last week: Cutrera at a Crossroads.

even if Jacob did say that, whats he really going off of? A 19 year old, first year starter in the SEC. Yeah I'm sure he wasnt the ideal leader, give him a year and we shall see come saturday. BTW i seriously doubt JC said anything like this.

JJ has the worst presence and body language I have ever seen from a QB at any level. Have you ever seen him inspiring the team or getting them lined up or doing anything close to what a good leader does?

Now you just sound stupid. I guess you never watched the Saints with Aaron Brooks. Unless you prefer beautiful smiles with your INTS. At least JJ looks upset when things don't go right.

Didn't sound stupid to me. Last year's pouty, squinty-eyed face after something went wrong is not exactly the stuff of leadership. It's really all about maturity, and from interviews I've seen this year, JJ has definitely matured ALOT off the field this offseason. That usually translates to on-field presence as well.

Sounds to me like you have maybe 5-6 realist fans and a bunch of halfass pussies who can't handle an accurate perception of our starting QB. I'd guess the later is probably all between 18-25 and just started following the team.

If my saying JJ isn't a leader on a message board 2 days before a game has anything to do with how he performs, we have much bigger issues with our team. That being said, he couldn't lead anyone to water even if he was on a boat.

The only people who believe Pollock are those who feel they need to put down Jefferson to make the back up QB look good.

What a maroon.

He was having a great game until he got hurt. He took one of the worst illegal hits against any quarterback all season.

It's not about whether JJ is/was a leader. It's about Pollock being full of shite claiming Cutrera would say it. To my knowledge, Cutrera hasn't attended any LSU practices this season, so I doubt he would really know whether JJ took leadership this season or not. As for last year? It's OVAH.

Well, stupid doesn't usually realize that it's stupid.

Seriously though, I didn't say that I thought he was a good leader last year.

But the "worse presence and body language I have ever seen from a QB at any level"??? I think that is stupid.

I gave one example already. Another obvious example would be Ryan Leaf in the NFL. He got paid $ to do awful on the field, fight with team members, have media explosions, etc. That's worse. And sadly, another obvious example would be our own JaMarcus Russell in the NFL. He was terrible on the field, came into camp looking like the dude from The Green Mile, didn't look or act like he really cared and then got cut because of it. Those are just a few obvious examples.

Yes, it's usually about maturity and last year was JJ's first year as the main starter. So there you go.

But I do remember at times last year when he got fired up (which is what you want to see out of your QB at times to inspire others). Bama comes to mind when he got drilled after a nice run and got up talking to the Bama defensive player. It was a good run where he got the 1st, and of course, the refs didn't give him forward progress and moved the ball back.
