Poche comes back for his Sr. year. Everyone is elated about the season.
Well, the season is here, and Poche has struggled since SEC play. If he continues to struggle, does Paul stick with Poche to show loyalty to his Sr. pitcher that came back?....or does he owe it to the team to give Hess or someone else shot soon?
It's a tough spot for a coach to be put in. But I feel you owe it to the team to put the best players out there no matter what.

You play the guy that gives you the best chance to win or you won't be around long

He's got midweek starter talent, and he's your second starter on weekends. He would not still be starting for us if he wasn't a senior

Sorry but my loyalty is to winning. Who ever gives the best chance to win gets the job. It's that simple.

He has 33 career wins. We need to recruit more midweek guys like him.

ETA 34 wins

I agree with this statement entirely. I know everyone hates hearing this comparison, but I feel like PM is more like Miles with his Seniors...meaning he will go down in flames being loyal to his Seniors no matter what. Especially with one like Poche coming back.

Dude is average at best. I don't know why people think he's great.

Who do you suggest to start in his place from our roster?

Well that is kinda easy. Ill give you a hint. The guy who came in relief of Poche tonight can throw way harder and has way better junk than Poche.

Miles has record numbers of underclassmen enter the draft, and that somehow equals him being loyal to seniors.

I love tRant logic.

Dude has the potential to be great but is facing a serious stumbling block between his ears, at this point in time
