I actually don't know...though I assumed it was between the third and fourth quarter. I may be wrong. Any Wisky lurkers want to answer this?

On a side note, how can anyone possibly think that is remotely cool or decent?

I don't really worry about what constitutes "decent." I'm not a big proponent of assigning value judgements to words...FWIW. Why is poop ok to say but shite can't be heard by a child? Same thing, different word. Makes no sense at all to me.

As for cool...yeah, I agree. It's beyond stupid and I'd never do it. But you know what? So is The Wave. shite drives me CRAZY...so I don't do it. I also find a bunch of middle aged white guys doing the hand gesture that goes along with the band playing Neck to be comically hilarious...so I don't do it.

If others like it and enjoy it...fine by me.

Great analogy. It fits so well with this discussion. Do you know what the word "inadvertent" means? Do you think STTDB is "inadvertent"?

Do you say STTDB?

Does anyone make you say it?

Then why do you care?

You people? I don't leave early and never admonished anyone. I asked a question to the guy...if that's what he wants to do, fine.

We had this discussion about STTDB last year.....its not going to change. The students think its funny so expect it to continue when/if Neck plays.

Plea to the LSU Student Section

1). Tell Joe Alleva to quit taking all of the marquee OOC games away from Tiger Stadium and moving them to Atlanta and Texas.

Also, when I don't go to a game, I'm not allowed to sell my ticket to any one who is a non-student. And if I do and LSU catches them with my ID, I lose my tickets permanently. The rules in place force students to leave the seats empty rather than give them to someone who wants to go.

2) if LSU plays legitimate teams, rather than SHSU, Furman, and McNeese, the fans might stay to watch the GAME rather than LSU trying to get reserve players reps late in mop up time.

3) We'll say whatever the f@ck we want. LSU isn't considered the most feared visiting site because of the boosters in the stadium club; it's because 1/5 of the stadium is full of drunk, loud, vulgar, and obnoxious students.

4) no service in TS, so I have no clue what you're talking about.

5) seriously? Slow it down? Are you really THAT nitpicky? Please STTDB

I'd say the rest of the stadium is worse about all these things

5. Slow Down on the LSU chants and clapping - I am talking about pace not quantity. When I was a student, the clapping during the band's pregame was on point and synchronized well. Now it gets way too fast way too quick and ruins it.

This is not just the students.

And its been like that for years.

I was a student at LSU 73 thru 79. Vulgarity was our middle name and that hasn't changed and so what.
STTDB is just one step from Go to hell Ole Miss, Piss on ole miss etc.

Noise noise noise thats was us. We would never leave till it was over because we had nothing to do.

The phone thing you see it all the time at MLB games on TV. Watch the game and make the other team know where they are!

We have an internet bad arse on our hands here....and one who needs to spend more time in math class apparently.

The student section capacity is 14,600, which is about 14.5% of the stadium, which is less considerably less than one/fifth.

The average number of students who bothered to show up per game last year was about 8500 (that number comes from another post...can't find it at the moment..but it is accurate). Given that number, the stadium is actually about 8% full of students....slightly less than one-fifth.

And seriously though....someone explain to me how "vulgar" = "intimidating"? I think you are more likely to disrupt the other team by being really loud when they are trying to snap the ball than by yelling "STTDB" during a time out.

Are you going to use actual attendance for the entire stadium as well?

then don't come to the game. sell your tickets and watch at a bar or at home in HD on The Network...don't show up.

No...not relevant. The one poster said the stadium is one-fifth full of students. The numbers show other wise.

frick you. the students are a small part of the stadium. Tell the "fans" to use their tickets and do the same.

The kids want to be closer to the field. again, frick you.

Other fans need to show up too, but to have a huge gap in the student section that can easily be seen on tv against teams like Florida and A&M last season is downright embarrassing. At least when other parts of the stadium don't show up, you can't tell as much due to assigned seating.

It's not just students packing together. If that was the case, then that gap would've always been there. It is a pretty new development due to less students going to the games.

Like the vast majority of the stadium? Who the frick are you btw...

I am an alumnus who attends every single home game (and some away) and never leaves early. It is a family policy not to leave games early. I was there at the end when Miami stomped us years ago, and when we came back against Troy.

But let me guess, it is an excuse for you?

I tailgate for awhile after the games to avoid traffic since I stay the entire game.

You talk about the history of Tiger Stadium, but then want to end this history. You're exactly the type of dbag who needs to be beaten with a 2x4

Nice mature response here. I hope your future job interviews go well.

Like I said, I have no problem with random yelling of vulgarities. I was a student and remember getting frustrated and yelling bs at a call or something like that. It's the cursing during a band song which gets it removed that is annoying for the entire fanbase.

I don't understand how the students think it is funny to curse during a song and have it removed. What's next, cussing during every song so the band can't play? That would be a real fun stadium atmosphere.

I am not a prude and don't care about people cussing. I just don't think it's necessary at the expense of removing songs played by the golden band.

Thanks for your mature, well thought out response. You seem like a fine upstanding individual with important things to say. I am glad you are the future of this country.
