Our coaching staff will look different as of Monday evening absolutely. Miles might last through the season though but he is gone regardless.

If I was Alleva I'd let him twist in the wind under the pretense of it not being fair to fire him in the middle of the season and he's done a lot for the university and community, etc.

miles ain't giving up a buyout. i seriously doubt that

This...all day long. Miles won't walk away from a $10MM payday....nor would anyone on this board. Herman won't dump on Houston as he seems to be an upstanding guy, thus unavailable till season's end. However, you can book it LSU is talking to his agent today, if not last night. Things will get done.

I don't foresee Les getting the axe prior to season's end unless we absolutely shite the bed over the next few games. Our powers that be may not be the sharpest tacks, but they won't let this become a shite show either by mid-season. There's a lot riding on the next couple of games.

Either way, LSU has a new coach next year. That you can place your bet on.

Yea I think so. It has to be weird for the team.playing for a guy that could get fired at any minute, and you know won't be there the whole season

Yes, he lasts the week.

The coaching search has quietly (as it should be) already begun. May have actually begun after Wisconsin.

How long Les stays will depend on how long it takes to secure a top coach, and how quiet they can keep it. I don't see them firing him and assigning an interim until after they've secured a coach for next season.

I understand that. What is done though? Fired this week and he's gone or allowed to see the season through?

I would be shocked if Les wasn't here Saturday.

I'd be pleasantly shocked but shocked none the less.

If Miles doesn't resign, and why would he, then this situation is no different than one year ago. The buy out last year was "bad for LSU's image" with budget cuts to higher ed.

Barring Miles deciding to retire, absolutely.

LSU is going to weather this storm for the remainder of the season...and will publicly announce something between the end of the season and the bowl game.

That's my best guess.
