Hate to say this but our pitching is not good enough to get us to Omaha. Poche has been hanging on for the last few outings and Lange has hit the freshman wall. Unless our bull pen steps up big time which they can will want sniff Omaha.

Other than tonight Poche has been lights out. He was amazing last week they let him try and finish the 9th and he just couldn't do it. He was totally dominant last week until the 9th inning. He has really turned it on hopefully tonight was just an off night for him.

I'll never understand how people like you don't even take into account the rest of the field not having anything much better. Our pitching has been fine enough considering hitting is up all across ncaa with the new ball.

Poche gives us a chance to win every time out.

But the bullpen has stepped up the last couple of weeks.

IMO the only thing missing right now is the team getting better at closing out close games in the last few innings. They have been getting better if they get that under control they could be tough to beat.

I kind of agree with your conclusion...but disagree about Poche.

You have a terrible point of view of this team.

So we can beat the bad half of the SEC when we get in post season with other dominant pitchers and hitters you'll see my point of view is spot on. Poche just went 4 in ing against Mizzou..... and week before last he went 5 innings. In post season if we are digging into our bull pen on the first day we are in trouble.

I agree that the pitching isn't great but to pretend like it's a certainty that we can't win a SR series is dumb.

Pitching is ok. It's hard to go through an sec schedule without having a bad night or two. We got spoiled watching Nola the past few years always be on every week and there are very few college pitchers like that.

The 2 concerns I have with this team are situational hitting and closing a team out late in the game. They are pretty damn strong everywhere else.

And they have certainly beaten more than the bad half of the sec.

Pitching is somewhat of a concern but let's not lose our mind, after all we are only number 1 in all 6 polls and soon to be first place by ourself in SEC. It could be worse lol

After watching the Aggies struggle for the last three weeks I will gladly trade pitching staffs. Our starters can not get through 4 innings lately and our closer has not recorded an out in over a week.
