Pitching wins in Omaha

I am as disappointed as the rest but we didn't even have a 3rd starter. PM should have made better decisions but I am sure Dunn is in his ear as well. Even if we had won this game then what? No way we best vandy twice. Please be honest...the is no way.
I think next years team will surprise people. We will pitch very well. We may start slow but down the stretch we may be a very good team with excellent pitching.

Tell that to UCLA who many said has the best. Didn't make it out of the regional.

Yeah, we weren't gonna beat Vandy twice but it'd been nice to see the coach give the boys a chance

Hindsight is 20/20 but look at it from this perspective. We lost both games to TCU, the only other National seed in our bracket. They pitched their #1 and #3 guys against us. We pitched our #2 and #7(?) options against them. We saved our ace for what turned out to be ptobably the weakest team in the bracket.
Do you think manieiri would do it differently? I would really have liked to beat that team at least once. We may have still ended up in the same boat, having to play TCU in the losers bracket game without a set 3rd starter but I would have liked to at least know we threw our best against them in at least one game.
