All indications point to Nola, Guasman, then Eades if needed....

What indications? Per the advocate it doesn't seem like PM has made his decision.

He may just be holding his cards close to the vest. Stony Brook's ace needs more rest and cannot pitch Friday, so it does change the thinking a bit for PM in regards to when to throw Gausman.

You are usually pretty spot on, just not this time brah.

In the 2009 supers, we didn't save our ace for game 3

Off topic, but do you know why me, you and MOT's names are in dark blue instead of purple? Are we on probation?

Did the name color change start yesterday when the SEC rant seceded from the Union and screwed TD up?

So I don't want to resurrect a thread that has died a slow and painful death, but I will anyway.

IF we win tomorrow (regardless of pitcher), I don't think it's a bad idea to throw Eades on Saturday - for a different reason though. The second half of the season has been a little bit of a struggle for Eades compared to the first half, and I think getting him some work would be good for him going into the tourney (because we WILL need him if we're going to go deep).

If you throw Eades on Saturday you either get the win against their ace, which would be a nice confidence boost for him, or you lose and still have Gausman available to throw on Sunday against their #3, which should result in a W.

In a perfect world, I agree you throw your best guys in order and pick up the wins. In this situation, though, I'd much rather see Eades get some work in than Gausman, who we know will be solid throughout the rest of the season.

Not throwing your ace in games 1 or 2 is ludicrous if he is rested. Let's not over think this fellas.

Just wanted to bump this now that the rotations are set for most of the supers across the country. Broski, I just want you to admit one more time you are a completely clueless about college baseball(no offense). Every game today showed the rotations and not one, I repeat not one ace was saved for Sunday. From what I have looked up, not one ace was saved for Monday in the series that start tomorrow. I normally wouldn't bring this up, but you were so damn sure you were right.
