I remember some of the old heads on here were saying the teams from like the 60's/70's would keep it close.

There are youtubes of complete games from that era, LSU and others. I watched the 1971 LSU-Nebraska Orange Bowl a while back. Two kickass teams for their time, with several future NFL stars. Nebraska had a couple of players who might crack the depth chart on a modern team. LSU had Bert Jones, who would be a good player in any era. Other than that, the players on both teams were small, slow, and unathletic by modern standards.

My grandparents (caucasian) lived near Grambling and often went to football and basketball games in the fifties and sixties. They were treated much better than had the roles been reversed.

This team vs Mingo, Montgomery, Reid, Mett, Spencer Ware, Landry, Freak, Minter, Simon, La'el Collins, Vadal Alexander, and Brad Wing

If Miles is coaching, then I'd say the 2012 team would win 13-6

Oh, that makes sense. Unfortunately, I think you have to buy them. Just search historic LSU football photos.

Does anyone remember the link to a photo you can buy of the first LSU football game

by this question, and by the photos posted i'm guessing you mean the first football game LSU played in the current stadium, because we played many games before this stadium, or campus was even in it's present location.

Nope, the band used to march on the field during the games.
