Only 4,500 seats? That doesn't even get us to 99,000. Where is Les getting the 103,000 number from?

The south expansion of Tiger Stadium will include over sixty brand new Tiger Den Suites located on two levels. The new suites will connect with the current East Side Tiger Den Suites and bring the total number of Tiger Den Suites in Tiger Stadium to over one hundred and thirty suites.

The new South End Tiger Den Suites will have a capacity of twenty-three people. There will be fifteen seats located in three rows outside the suite interior, four seats at a glass rail inside the suite and four standing room only tickets.

The was a post on the LSUsports site a while back that one suite and six club seats were still available. I don't see it anymore, so I guess they sold 'em.

Attention Tiger Fans: New South End Zone Premium Seating Opportunities available for 2014 Football Season

A very limited number of seating options in the new south stadium club and one south Tiger Den Suite will be available in 2014. South club seats & suite will be assigned by the LSU Philanthropic Priority Point System.

I'm still not getting the 103,000 number. Even if 60 new suites are added with a capacity of 23 in each, that only adds 1,380 more people. So, even if they are not counting the Den Suites as Club seats, that will only be adding 5,880, right? (3000 club + 1500 gen admission + 1380 suites).

If we are currently at a capacity of roughly 92,500, then that does not take us over 100k.

Am I missing something here?

my eyes are always automatically drawn to the Lego blocks on top.

Anybody know the reasoning for putting the blocks there and in that arrangement?

They're concession stands, bathrooms, etc.

The SRO, and the "over" in the number of suites. We still don't know the exact number of suites being added, because LSU is being intentionally coy with the figures.

The last number I heard mentioned in connection with Standing Room Only tickets for the expansion was 400, and I don't think that's accurate any longer.

LSU says the expansion will bring the number of suites to "over 130". I'm sure they know exactly how many now, but they are waiting to make the announcement of the new total capacity.

Expect to hear it with some fan fare.

It'll be nice to finally get a firm number.

Whatever I read that comes from an official source seems to indicate the number will be below 100k. But these rumors from Les (and others) saying the number will be higher has to have some basis or surely they wouldn't be repeating them.

I think it's just the circumstances under which Les Miles is saying this. He was filmed telling this to recruits (insiders and trying to impress), as well as rotary club/booster meetings (same, insiders and trying to impress).

The thing is, Les is turning around and asking for confirmation of the 103K number from other people as he is saying this. I saw him turn to Gen. Richard of TAF and and get a confirming nod on that figure. And I know I'm not the only poster here who saw it happen.

If anyone is giving Les the 103K figure, it's TAF. If anyone is wrong about it, that's where you look. Not Les.

Now I myself would be happy with 100K+.

Really? They have been working nights and weekends since day one. I walked through it today. It will be done with time to spare. They have been working 7 days 16 hours for months now. All of them.
