Did anyone hear the interview?

Pete said that he "bleeds purple and gold but I cannot pull against Coach Saban because Saban has been so good to me and my family."

He said he did not watch the first LSU-Bama game and will not watch this one either. When Paul pressed him on what he would rather be doing he said, "Probably something less stressful like going to a damn movie."

A listener asked who he recruited the hardest during his tenure at LSU ... He said that would probably be Gary James because James was not even considering LSU.

Just curious if anyone heard the beginning of the interview. Paul promised to have him on after the BCSNCG and that he would tell him the score then.

Many coaches are mercenaries , there is loyalty only the man who can hire/fire/retain you.

Jenkins was not from Louisiana or an alumnus of LSU , therefore while disappointing that he chose to not support the school that had paid his salary for more than a decade, it is the sad state of affairs of modern day business.

I don't believe a word of this. If you have ever met Pete Jenkins and really talked to him you would never believe this. The very reason he retired when he did was because of the rediculous demands Saban put on his assistants. If this isn't the case, then why did he soon after resurface as the DL coach for the Philadelphia Eagles? Again not sure what his motivation is for saying this, but their is no way that I believe Pete isn't 100% in LSU's corner.

Have listen to Coach Jenkins many times on different stations . He has always had strong feelings displayed for LSU. He is stating the fact that Saban was good to him. I see nothing wrong with this. Saban did good for LSU as well. You guys need to get off the hate for Saban. Pete is a class act.

Doesn't Pete live in gump country? I wouldn't want to be targeted either.

where did I display any hate for Saban? I am just saying that PJ was playing to the crowd he was talking too. Just stating the fact that if you have ever met PJ and talked to him more than 5 min. you will have no doubt that he is 100% in LSU's corner.

Ponchy sorry if I miss read you. I tend to do that with Saban in the statement. You are right and I agree that Pete is 100 % Tiger.

There is no doubt Pete will pull for LSU but he isnt gonna piss off Saban or cause a stir by saying that. Most ex coaches and players will say the same crap. It means nothing. Why should he open up to Finebaum?

"Hate" is a very strong word, but it almost connotes how I feel about Saban. Guys and gals, we are about to do battle with a team led by the little man, and it is a war. I certainly don't want to sit down and have a tea party with Saban.
