If there was any doubt that the rich were going to get richer in the brave new unregulated world of college football recruiting that begins Aug. 1, Alabama dispelled it Thursday when it announced that Steele is rejoining the staff.
Not as a coach, but as director of player personnel. His main job will be to direct Alabama’s recruiting efforts.
Steele was known as one of the best in the business in that area while he was coaching. He was one of the first assistants Saban hired at Alabama in 2007, and he was a big part of building and running Saban’s recruiting machine.

Rant can have my tickets if we get Steele cuz I have no interest wasting my time watching LSU next year. To go from Chavis to Steele is beyond pathetic.
