You know what I'd love to see? Have Buga sit the 1st Quarter, let Guice & Williams handle the rock.
A few minutes into Q2, bring in Leonard. Rinse & repeat after halftime. Let him play the entire 4th quarter and light those frickers up.

Bear in mind that Guice and Williams looked much more ordinary in some of the early games. Neither were able to do much in relief against State or Syracuse. There was a massive drop off with Fournette out of the game, but that is changing. Williams really came to life in the EMU game, and we got a taste of what Guide is capable of with extended carries last week. With them looking more comfortable and confident, the carries are going to balance out.
Also, if the passing game continues its upward trend, we will see more overall offensive balance than we had in those early games. Just look at Miles' history with RBs. Things will even out.

Since when does a running back complain about touching the ball too much? This whole world is turning into a bunch of pussies

We over do the I formation anyway.
If the game is in the balance, you can bet your last dollar that Fournette will be on the field with his savages.

I hate these modern "reporters" who live to stir shite up for their personal benefit.

Masona and Ben Love
I'll pass.

Apparently neither does Les:
Miss St - 28 carries
Auburn - 19 carries
Syracuse - 26 carries
Eastern Michigan - 26 carries
S. Carolina - 20 carries
TOTAL - 119 carries in 5 games
Sounds like everybody is on the same page. Problem averted.

I am fine with Williams and Guice getting more carries, there's a ton of value to it.
Williams has looked GREAT in short yardage and Guice needs more touches....and we need to avoid "predictable by personnel" as much as possible.
Keep LF fresh, spread his carries throughout the game, perhaps 17-20 carries in total.

This was known before he signed. Camp Fournette were always under the impression it would be "RB by committee " I'm not surprised at all this has come up. Does not bode well for next year especially......

Williams has been looking a bit more stiff as a runner this year.
He's nothing flashy and he's not gonna run away from anyone. He's just that bruiser who can give Fournette/Guice a breather. If we ever had to rely on him primarily, I'd be worried

ESPN is destroying everything that is wonderful about American sport. 24-hour cable news might be the worst thing that's ever happened to the level of discourse in this country. Politics, sports, doesn't matter.

So they think he should start sitting out the second quarter instead of just the second half?

Just how much money comes with that Heisman because all I see the winner getting at the ceremony is a trophy.

Judging by this thread, it worked. Lol @ journalism in 2015

Williams has looked great. Some big runs and almost never stuffed at the line. If you need one yard, he might be better then Fournette.

It was also known that he wanted to win the Heisman. Les is doing about as good a job as possible in terms of balancing those two goals, right around 20 carries is ideal.
As others are saying, next year we'll see even more Guice and Williams and by that time Les will have gotten over Brossette's fumble and he'll be in the mix

Fournette said he wanted 2 Heismans....seems pretty important to him.
A Heisman for a guy like Fournette definitely wouldn't hurt his stock.
