Patriots release LaFell

Neither move comes as a major surprise, as LaFell struggled last year after hauling in a career-high 74 passes for 953 yards in 2014. Only five players league-wide notched more drops last season than LaFell, who was barely a factor in the playoffs. He thanked the Patriots for his time in New England in an Instagram post.

I wouldn't mind if the Saints picked up LaFell. He was hurt most of the season last year, but if he can get healthy again, he would be a solid WR pickup in free agency that wouldn't cost the Saints an arm and a leg to sign.

Agreed. If he is healthy, some team will pick him up.

I didn't know LaFell had lasik. The only one I remember getting it is Dwayne Bowe.

has there ever been an LSU player available in the draft or an LSU player that's a free agent that a Saint's fan didn't want or didn't think would abe a perfect fit for the Saints?
