WF G2 Guidry/Coleman/Money
WF G3 Skenes/Cooper

CG 1 Floyd/Hurd
CG 2 Ackenhausen/Coleman/Cooper
CG 3 Guidry/Money/Skenes

Skenes needs to give us another 7+ innings outing Thursday and then hand it over to Cooper. Cooper tops out at 89 mph, he has the ability to be "overused". He'll take the ball if you let him.

I would start Guidry over Money. I think Guidry is somewhat damaged coming out of the pen and would do well starting instead.

The fitting ending would be Skenes closing out the final game to bring home the championship on 3 days rest. He can give us 3 innings.

If LSU wins tomorrow, they will be the National Champions.

Kid came in amped up, and let a curve hang….he’ll be fine.

I agree, I think he'll be fine. I would still like to see him start.

Not disagreeing with your premise. But coop has been sittin 91-92. Touched 94 a few times.

Cooper has stepped up in a major way over the past few weeks and I’m loving it.

I would expect to see more arms against Wake for short durations, but it would be nice to have a guy go 4 innings to start. I don’t know if Coleman or Herring can give you that. Guidry may be able to. Money could, but I don’t know that we see him much in this one. With a lead late, I would expect to see Hurd.

I think Guidry or Coleman get the nod to start. Herring first relief.

Hurd threw 65 pitches on Monday, unfortunately.

You can't have him come back 2 days later. I think we will see him pair up with Floyd again on Saturday. The other option is start him on Sunday and move Ack to Monday.

Herring hasn't pitched since June 5. He was not good either of his last 2 outings dating back to May 26. That's a huge risk.

I made 75% of games at the Box this year and coop is consistently 91-92 all year long

He wasn't bad against a really good offense with a massive lead. Pretty sure the team was pitching to contact at that point. He threw 3 innings and only gave up 3 hits and 2 runs against Oregon St? I wouldn't call that bad at all.

I believe his previous four outings from his one bad outing he gave up 0 runs. The good thing is you know if he has it or doesn't mighty quick. He is either going to be great or bad, IMO.

June 5.

You're taking that chance? With the season on the line?

I think we should start Coleman tonight. Like UT Wake doesn't hit lefties as well as rightness.

Guidry is also the kind of guy that can befuddle opposing batters, but I think we should ride the lefty train. Bring Guidry to start an inning in the middle of the game.

And we need to stay with the Gold Jerseys! They have always been good luck in Omaha. We win when we wear them

Skenes is not giving us 10 innings on short rest, we will have to beat wake without our top 3 arms twice.

If we can do it UF/TCU will be fricked.

Today I’d assume: Skenes,Floyd,Hurd, Auck and Cooper are all out

That leaves us: Money, Herring, Guidry, Coleman, Collins, Little, Dutton left

The wind blowing in you could go Money to start and get 4 from him then you need 5 from the rest. If we win that probably brings Hurd back into play maybe Cooper since he kinda has a rubber arm. Skenes, Floyd and Auck all still out.

I could see Skenes wanting to go.

If we went with this format and won it all, Cooper in my opinion would be the mvp. Only because of how much he would have pitched within 5 -7 days!

If we beat Wake tonight, why wouldn't we pitch Skenes tomorrow? He would be on what is a standard 4 days rest at the pro level. He'll be doing that regularly, soon enough. He's a hoss, and I don't see this bothering him. Skenes with a "tired" arm is still throwing gas.

I would get him out if we get a big lead, but I don't see why he can't give us a hundred pitches Thursday and 50 on Monday. Presumptious as that may seem.

Agreed. Wake hits .278 vs Lefties and .315 vs righties. I'd go Coleman to start. Have Money and Guidry ready to come in relief.
