Kid has been solid for two years now. I think CPM has a great deal of confidence in Bugg and trust him in big time situations.

We have more defined roles with this staff.

Stallings just left that pitch up.

Bc that's just how coach Manure does it. It's like he HAS to have stallings close the game regardless of how well the current pitcher is dealing. Almost cost us the game last night.

Thought Newman would have come in before Strall especially in that situation but I guess he wants Newman for a longer relief role following Lange or Bain

I just hope PM's hunches doesn't end up short of Omaha again! Only good thing is the offense is good enough to bail him out.

He went to his closer in a 1 run game. It's not rocket science.

He was coming off close to a 30 pitch inning. I didn't have a problem with pulling him. But why not throw Newman?

Stallings is the closer and was certainly well-rested. His location was horrible and for some reason didn't work in his change-up. I thought Person would get the call when Stallings bogged down but the two youngsters did ok. Tiger pitching is set up very well for the next two games if Lange works his normal amount of innings tonight.

Because your "closer" has to start the 9th. C'mon everyone knows that.
