May have later. Can't remember the make of the car but very vivid memories of him rolling down poorly tinted rear window of small 4dr vehicle. Was probably a freshman and proud of his ingenuity.

Don't remember that but would have been one of those huge ones so highly doubt it. Traditional service providers didn't really exist. The technology to block and subsequently charge for satellite television and phones came later.
