Oxford Weekend Guide (Restaurants Added to OP & 5th Page)

So I've seen a few threads about how you won't have a good time in Oxford, the people suck, The Grove is shite, the bars aren't fun and they are too expensive, etc.
So I thought it would be a good chance to tell y'all about some places y'all will have fun at.
Bars:
Ole Miss has some of the nicest college bars you will see around the country, they aren't ratchet like Tigerland and many adults have great times at our bars. You should be prepared to pay a cover that you're probably not use to paying though, it'll be anywhere from $10 all the way to $100 depending on the bar and what time you goto the bar. If you aren't going to the game make sure to get a wristband early to avoid paying a bad cover, if you goto the game its in your best interest to get to the square as early as possible to avoid paying a high cover.
Now I'll show you my favorite bars to goto and what they will offer.
Roosters
This is my favorite bar on The Square, they always have a great crowd and they play great music, usually live bands almost every night. It's 21 and up but they are one of the more easier bars to get into with a fake. It has a big balcony which is great for hanging out outside, I promise you will have a great time if you go here.
Rafters
This is another really fun bar to goto, basically the same thing as Roostes minus the balcony. Great crowd, great music, usually live. If you going to the game this is one of the best places in Oxford to watch a game.
21 Up and I wouldn't chance a fake here.
Round Table
Basically the same as Roosters and Rafters, great crowd and usually live music. They also have a really big patio which is fun on game days.
21 and up
The Library
I've only been twice as a student its a really fun bar and its the biggest bar on The Square. It's more of a senior bar so thats why I don't go very much.
If you are not 21 DO NOT try to get into The Library.
Other bars that you might want to go to
The Cellar - 18
The Corner - 18
Frank and Marlee's - 21
The Levee - 18
Funky's - 21
Mr. Feathers - 18 (off the square)
Restaurants:
You really can't go wrong with any restaurant on The Square, but you should be prepared a little bit of money at most of the places. They are worth the money though I promise you.
Restaurants you might want to check out on The Square
Ajax Diner
Bacchus On The Square
Boure
City Grocery
McEwen's
Lenora's
Oxford Grillehouse
Proud Larry's
Rafters Bar and Grill
Soulshine Pizza
South Depot Taco Shop
Sqaure Pizza (Good Late Night, Never Had it Sober)
Off The Square
Big Bad Breakfast
SnackBar
Jinsei
Phillip's Grocery
Wine Bar (I think this is actually on the square)
The Taco Shop
Chicken On A Stick
I think that about wraps up places I would go if I was visiting, the links will tell you all you need to know about each.

I really think that everyone who comes will have a great time, just remember as long as you are respectful and nice, you won't have any problems. If you are an a-hole to people you should expect to be treated as one.
Also reminder to bring red solo cups or any type of cup with you for The Grove!
Safe Travels to anyone who is making the trip and I look forward to great weekend!

Good info, can vouch for all of it (minus the underage stuff, been a few years since I've had to worry about that )

I’m from Baton Rouge and Mom taught at LSU.
Wasn’t going to college with mommy.
So I went to a fun city with tons of hot girls.

Why not? It's arguable the best bar in Oxford
Posted on 10/19/17 at 9:46 am to SheaForHeisman
For an 18-25 year old, sure.

Posted on 10/19/17 at 9:47 am to TheCaterpillar
You didn’t even mention Blind Pig or City Grocery (bar)

Well my gosh, what age group am I trying to aim for?
Posted on 10/19/17 at 9:53 am to TheCaterpillar
I did with the trip advisor link, also I'm not old enough to goto those type of restaurants and just drink without eating there. I'd look like a child.

This deserves a even if the suggestions are shite (and I have no idea if they are). The op actually has some class. Good on ya, boyo.
