Speaking of Brown, are we.gonna get a chance to see him pitch? Maybe they send him out this summer to pitch somewhere? Inquiring minds and whatnot. Thx

Where is young Pearson projected to play? Can he run enough to play outfield?

He’s #2 in the pic. I could see it going either way. They could bulk him up for the corners, or slim him up for the outfield. He has some baby fat he will lose at LSU.

He's listed as an OF on his Cape Cod roster. Doesn't mean he won't pitch there, but that depends on what he, the LSU coaches, the scouts running the Cape Cod league, and Brown's advisor want to see this summer.

I think he gets mound reps in the fall though.

Pearson may get passed up by his "little" bro John.. who apparently can mash.

Also did you know their dad is a hitting coach?

I currently do not see a single position that is "SET" for next year.

Shores isn't draft eligible until after next season.

Good to know. I always mix those up but Kling, Jones, Herring and Neal are all DES iirc

Kling, Jones, Herring, Guidry.

Neal is young for his class.

Larson, Kling,and Pearson gonna roll!

I wouldn't be a surprise if Pearson is in the portal after the season. Also, Jones is a draft eligible sophomore. He's a top 150 prospect right now, so he may be gone as well. if Jones, is gone, I'd expect Larson to move to 1B. I think that would likely make your outfield Kling (assuming his draft value has tanked), Brown, and maybe Frey next year. That also is knowing nothing about what will be available and who we'll go after in the portal. Impossible to really say right now what the OF will look like with so many unknowns

He's 229 right now on BA's list. I was wrong yesterday when I said around 160.

I do think he will be higher the next time they update though.

I would love to see Kling continue on this upward trajectory and put himself in position to have to make a draft decision.

That would mean very good things for our offense.

Kling is Jay’s guy. He not going anywhere.

I’m not saying he is, nor do I want to see him go. I’m just saying that if he AND Pearson taking the next step is what we are putting faith in, that’s a problem.
I really thought we over recruited some positions going in to the ‘23 season and we ended up needing every bit of depth we got. This offseason we seemed to rely on development offensively and very few people actually took the next step.

I don’t think he can play 3B. He doesn’t really have a position, just like his brother coming in.

Kling could get drafted on potential.

Mitchell has put on good weight and looks like a future stud.

Portal and freshman class could also factor in.

Not to mention the upperclassmen.

Way too early to figure out next year.
