I just have a serious case of #milesfatigue jrodLSUke....I'm over this guy...So yes I am depressed this team will underachieve once again with him at the helm...I don't get excited about LSU Football anymore because I have been conditioned this way year after year.

Then stop watching boom problem solved. Being an LSU football fan is a choice. I have concerns about whether this team will be improved are not. This season could be great or it could end up being a train wreck but that doesn't make it any less exciting for me. In fact it makes it more exciting to me. It is middle of August if you can't be excited about watching your favorite team line up and play football then I think it is time to find something new to do with your free time.

Exactly. Truth is nobody really knows how it's going to turn out. It would be boring if they did.

I agree completely! We do not have to be an Oregon or Baylor. Just do things like jet sweeps to Chark or screen passes to Guice, Fournette, etc. Find ways to let our fastest, most athletic playmakers to get the ball in their hands. Use every weapon in our arsenal that we have so teams dont just stack the box and dare us to run the toss dive to LF7. Even get Harris involved more with the read option. He is fast and can eat up alot of yards on a defense.

Yep, just need a few more misdirection plays to keep the defense off balance.

Just went back and watched the Bama game for the 3rd time, and the Oline was atrocious. This offense is built in a way that depends on a strong Oline, and last year it just wasnt there....especially pass blocking.

Every 3rd down play, they blitzed, and Harris had to take a sack or throw from a completely collapsed pocket.

Need more protection, OR we need the offense to hide that deficiency.

The great part is, except possibly some against Wisconsin, we don't even have to show those plays much until we get into the tough part of the schedule, so Nick and others won't have as much game film to study. The weaker teams we can just line up and run over. We will just have to adjust a little for Bama, Ole Miss, Arky, and Florida.

Agreed! Im truly excited that Cam will be on the sidelines this year. Not only will it help alleviate confusion on the play calls, it will make it easier for Cam, Grimes, Jaluke and Craig to be on the same page and communicate the assignments to the position groups. I can almost guarantee there will be less head scratching and confused looks on our players faces.......hopefully it will help with clock management among Les and the team as well!

This isn't a typical year. If you can't see that, you haven't been paying attention.

There are things to be excited about. Until I see any kind of offensive changes, adaptations, in game adjustments or scheming to our personnel's strengths etc, I will reserve my expectations. I am looking forward to the season though.

I understand the sentiment, but we have the perfect scenario in place for a redemptive season, which is badly needed as the last few years have trended downward. We can choose to set low expectations for the future and hope to be wrong (reserving the "right" to say a bitter "told you so" if the season disappoints), or we can see this year's moves as steps in the right direction and hope/expect to see positive changes on the field. I'm choosing the latter.

Shut. The. frick. Up. Go find another team to cheer for, shithead. Miles is the reason this team is assembled. Miles is the reason these kids and coaches pick LSU. He's got the best winning percentage of any coach in the school's history and when he leaves he'll have the most victories. Go kill yourself.

People like you are so pathetic. Miles is obviously not going to have an "explosive offense", it's just not a part of his philosophy. Whiny little poons like you are worse than any negatiger because you are so emotional you can't even comprehend a simple argument. You have to shut down any opposition to him.

Calm down, it's just football. You're watching a bunch of kids play a child's game for your entertainment and you feel the need to cuss him out and tell him to kill himself because his opinion might be different from yours on the subject. Grow up. And maybe give that much of a shite about something that matters.

Honestly, i think this has been part of our problem in the past. We need to KNOW we can execute those plays before we get to the meat of our scheduled.

It think it's more important to run those plays in games and perfect them, than it is to hide them so no one can see.

I would agree, except our secondary is better than probably anyone we will face this year. I know it's not the same as the game experience, but shouldn't extensive practice against our defense in simulated passing situations suffice?

With the way we are racking up injuries on defense we will need to be explosive.

ah yes, the old "don't show anything so our future opponents won't have film on us" argument. Tired.

Now yes, if we have a trick play or two, I wouldn't use that against cupcakes so we preserve the element of surprise. But for our basic offense, use the entire playbook so we know what we're doing when we really need it against Bama, Ole Miss, etc.

You must mean the realistic point of view. These guys who are claiming LSU is going to be so explosive on offense, need to look up Einstein's definition of insanity.

Well LSU was decently explosive last year, just not consistent.

17th in yards per play and tied for 13th in scrimmage plays of 40+ yards. LSU was 6th in rushing plays of 40+ yards and 31st in pass plays of 40+ yards. Keep in mind we only played 12 games and was outside of the top 100 ranking in plays per game.
