Our bandwagon fans would have melted down if we played like Florida last night. Can't believe Fla had runners on 1st and 3rd with no outs in the 8th inning, down 1-0, and couldn't score. Fla was horrible. Their coach should be fired. Can't believe their AD hired that sorry SOB of a coach because his coach can't find a player to hit a fly ball to the OF. Florida, arguably the hottest hitting team in college baseball, hit only 5 balls out of the infield in 9 innings last night and couldn't buy the big hit. It happens. Baseball is a funny game. In the 90's (if you were watching or not an LSU fan then), LSU had the magic and was loose and everyone felt like we couldn't lose. We were so close to wins and losses, but bounces and hits went our way. Good luck to the Tigers today. Can't wait to see us move on to the next round.

LSU fans melt every game, win or lose. Doesn't matter how they win or lose.

well facts are they shite the bed in the post season aside from one year in the CPM era. He obviously has issues getting his teams prepared to play on the biggest stage

O'Sullivan has been able to control his emotions better the past 2 years. Once he got off the field I'm sure he did some screaming and throwing a few things. I felt like the Virginia Coach screwed up by leaving his starter in two batters two long after he lost an 0-2 count to a walk and then left him in for another batter. You cold tell his starter was gassed. To place his reliever in a zero outs with runners on 1st and 3rd was crazy. I agree, I can't imagine how our fans would have handled that if it had been LSU.

I've been watching Vandy baseball games for 10 years now here in Nashville. Corbin is as solid a baseball coach I've ever seen. Corbin and O'Sullivan coached together at Clemson and are good friends. O'Sullivan seems to have learned how to keep his emotions more in check.

That isn't a fact.

Also, I'd consider the 2008 season a huge success too.

I believe UF has 3 freshmen and 3 sophomores in their starting lineup. This type of performance is a little more expected from them than a veteran lineup like LSU.

No it's not...that type of choke job shouldn't be expected from anyone regardless of "3 freshmen." Hit a flyball, drop a bunt. You're 18, not 12, and they weren't asking the leadoff guy to hit a home run.

You mean like us in 2013 when we went 2 and out? Why are you giving Fla a pass and not LSU in 2012? You proved my point.

The melt begins when a pitcher goes on the downturn and the coach refuses to pull him until we're significantly down in the score

WTF are you talking about? Who said i didn't give LSU a pass in 2012? You just making shite up? 1-9 doesn't deserve a pass for LSU this year. They are a veteran group that is struggling at the plate and need to turn it around quickly. Now next years LSU squad should be given a pass with all the youth they will have. If they somehow make it to Omaha next year that will be a huge accomplishment.
