in the bowl, what focus and discipline are they going to come up with, especially with lame duck DC's. Miles is putting a priority on making sure mallory and peveto leave gracefully than making a bold move and hiring a DC a few weeks ago to coach in this game. Would have given the defense a spark and an "obama" like ray of hope.

I will bet anyone on here that GT will rush for over 350 on us at minimum. Any takers?

Says the guy from Atlanta........and I'll take that bet.........If Florida couldn't rush for 350 GT won't.

Why don't you let them play the game first?

I'm a big time LSU fan, but I did attend the GT-Miami game. Our defense is similar to UM defense and GT put 500 on yards on them. GT looks boring on TV especially on offense but in person they make Paul Johnson look like a genius, the five to six foot splits the lineman set up in are amazing.

They will all understand soon enough. Patience. We heard this same stuff from F$U, thugU and UGAg.

I didn't say anything about GTs option........I'm just saying if the team competing the the NC game that has waaaaaaayyy more speed and athletes than GT couldn't do it then I don't see GT doing it.

As long as we can stop them and guess right on the edge and pitch, we have a shot. Florida killed us with that style of run.

3 bowls in 3 years and none of them were close. A well rested LSU team under Miles is lethal. I don't see GT being that much better than us. We'll just have to see, but this isn't a game that is feeding off of anything from the regular season.

Gee UF couldn't put up 500 yards total O against Miami either. They managed 89 rushing and 345 total O. Against you they managed 265 rushing and 475 total O. Looks like Miami had a better day against them than you did. I hate to tell you this but we did put up about 1.5 times as many yards against Miami than UF did.

So I'm saying that your logic seems to have a big hole in it. Did you play Oklahoma?

Now I expect a good game from you but I do expect our O to put some points on the board.

Kind of like Bo last year?

Check back on LSU bowl games, a healthy LSU team in a bowl game is hard to beat. The Spark will be a the game.

O, there are lots of "lame ducks" alright, but they sure aren't all on the coaching staff.

Make Chad Jones the "Robber" following the QB all the way on every play. He hits the QB 10 times and its over.

I think we did something similiar with Highsmith against TOSU last January.

If you force the QB to make a decision early the triple option is not so hard to defend. The longer the QB holds the ball the worse it can be.

On paper we should get swarmed. But Miles has demnstrated he prepares well for bowl games, and more consistently than Der Fuhrer.

Practices have taken a different tone and focus is on fundamentals. If you keep your assignment and wrap up you can compete with the triple option. GT is damn good at it but we have the speed and talent to contain them better than some are expecting. JJ will be more polished and we can score points too.

I expect a shootout where anyone could win. But I feel pretty confident that GT will not run away with it. LSU will play possibly it's best game of the year in this bowl. They will need to.
