it appears, based on the info. i get here, that our competitors (VANDY, MSU, AU, etc.) are salivating over the opportunity to meet LSU and beat LSU. i don't really care where they get those ideas (maybe they read the rant), but it's time for the Tigers to put up or shut up. we don't get no respect. my opinion: if we can stay healthy, we're gonna severly dissapoint some of the SEC west teams this year. i say we challenge for the west title and maybe win it.

Really doesn't matter. I find it amusing Vandy is apparently talking smack after losing a home game to a 2d tier Big 10 team, and that Moo St would be taking smack after losing a home game, and that Auburn would be talking smack after a rather unimpressive performance. Newton is quite a physical specimen but his footwork in the pocket stinks and he looks like a frozen statue. IF LSU blitzes him we'll be OK. Hey, if they want to take LSU lightly, great! I enjoy the fact the Tigers are flying under the radar this year. All that matters is where they stand at the end of the year.

We're perceived as a beatable team right now. This team has to do something to change that. A major statement can be made in the next few weeks.

Extremely beatable team.
Our opponents absolutely do not fear playing LSU any longer.
And that one is all on Miles.

I can go two ways with this. On one hand, it's nice to be underrated and for teams to "smell blood." It makes the opposing teams cocky and thinking they are due a win. On the other hand, it was nice to have some years where playing LSU had a fear factor. You can't have that every year, but I would like to see it return soon.

You mean in Saban's first season following the Dinardo debacle. Yeah, you're right, that's comparable to Miles's sixth year.

After jumping over that snake saturday, I think this will be a team of "Destiny." Les is living under a Star.LSU by 30 against Vandy.

In order to get rid of this image, we have to put away beatable teams. If these inferior teams are still in the game in the 4th quarter, then I don't blame our competitors for 'smelling blood'.

Any team that takes an opponent lightly that wins an average of 10 games a season if full of idiots. Everybody wants to talk about the 2nd half of that UNC game? What about the first half?

We are going to crush some skulls this year, as well as hopes and spirits in the process. Mrs. State just got schooled by Auburn. Do they really think that they can beat us? Do I really care? Not in the least. I'll watch the games.

Listen, If a fan of another school on our schedule wants to talk smack, don't get down take their fricking money. Bet them with no point spread - If they back down they look weak, if they place the bet may the best team win.

Just like Iowa almost losing their first game last season to a nobody team. They ended up having a great season.
