I guess "purple and gold glasses" = being educated about the people on your team, i.e. running backs, while nobody else in the SEC really knows anything about them.

They are talking about BACKFIELDS as a whole, NOT running backs.

I am aware of that. If we had ONE running back, I can see how we would be on the list. That would leave our backfield at:
1 great RB
1 average (at least) QB
Now we have:
1 great RB
1 great RB
1 great RB
1 average (at least) QB
Which could all match up with:
Georgia
1 "great/awesome" RB
1 good and overhyped QB
They both did really well against the JV team they played in their bowl.
Florida
1 awesome QB
1 good RB
Those two are really the only ones that matter.
Quit bashing LSU just to bash them because your precious 0-hio U lost again making them 0-9 against the SEC.

If LSU's isn't better than UF or UGA, they are for sure tied.
My main point in saying, "the other teams fans are ridiculous" is because nobody was even mentioning LSU on the list! Nobody realizes the people we have waiting on the team. Being a home team fan has nothing to do about it.

backfield includes the QB's.
Since we have a walk-on and and Fresh at QB, it hurts our standing on backfields.
We have some very good backs but we have yet to see any of them carry the load all season.
Thats what hurts LSU in this debate.
